The market in Michurinsk is a daily part of life for many residents. You can buy fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, kvas (fermented rye drink), dairy products, eggs, flowers, fruit trees, hand-made wool socks, Easter-egg decorations, and sunglasses! In this photo, our host teacher is buying the apples for which Michurinsk is famous. She likes to buy here because items are fresher than in the grocery store and they are all locally produced. If you want to know just how fresh, watch this video of the fish stall.
